Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of humanistic care with family participation for ICU patients. Methods: A total of 155 ICU patients in a hospital were selected by convenience sampling from June 2019 to June 2020. The humanistic care with family participation was implemented in decision-making, behavioral and emotional supports. Interventions involved participating in music therapy, patient treatment, and visiting through WeChat video. Outcomes included the anxiety and depression leveland satisfaction of patients and their families. Results: The scores of anxiety and depression were 38.1±10.3 and 36.9±8.7, respectively. The satisfaction scores of patients and family members were 146.5±12.7 and 105.1±10.4, respectively after discharge. Conclusion: Humanistic care with family participation can relieve the anxiety and depression of patients, and improve the satisfaction level of patients and their families.
