Abstract: This paper introduced the development mode of emergency hospice care abroad, including the emergency department-based consultation programs initiated by the hospital palliative care team, the hospice care initiated by the emergency department ambulance nursing staff, and emergency department partnerships with hospice providers. It is suggested that the emergency department in China should carry out multi-team cooperation on the development of the hospice care model, which can promote the effective identification and management of hospital hospice care patients, and provide the best care and service for the last journey of life.
