Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of the medicine nursing network courses. Methods: Totally 305 nursing students were randomly divided into experimental group (n=153) and control group (n=151). Internet-assisted teaching mode was used in experimental group, while traditional teaching mode was used in control group. The examination scores were compared. Students' self-learning ability and critical thinking ability were evaluated at the end of the semester. Results: The stage examination scores in experimental group were higher than those of control group (P<0.05). Experimental group had significantly higher scores in total score and all dimensions of the students' self-learning ability (P<0.05). The total score of critical thinking ability, self-confidence, intellectual curiosity and cognitive maturity of experimental group were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The internet-assisted teaching mode can improve teaching effects and students' ability of self-study and critical thinking.
