Abstract: Patient and Visitor Violence in hospital environment is a quite important problem that the medical staff, especially nurses, should face to. The complex reasons and diverse forms need long-time response and guidance. This article summarized the definition, types, current status, reasons and countermeasures of Patient and Visitor Violence among the domestic and aboard nurses,and provided references for the nurses to effectively cope with the Patient and Visitor Violence.
