Abstract: Objective: To develop a Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(OCB) scale for nurses in China, and to provide a proper instrument for hospital managers to better evaluate nurses' OCB. Methods: The original items of OCB scale for nurses were collected through nominal group interview, and were selected and revised through Delphi expert consultation method and item analysis technique based on questionnaire survey of nurses. Results: There were 53 original items collected through interviewing 172 nurses, and 34 items were deleted or modified during 2-round expert consultation, and we got a 37-item pretest scale. Five items were deleted according to item analysis results based on the survey among 317 nurses. Finally, 32 items of OCB scale was reserved with all 32 items' CR values >3, the total score correlations >0.50, and loading factor values>0.50. Conclusion:This study developed an OCB scale for nurses through group interview, expert consultation and item analysis technique based on questionnaire survey. The scale has good differentiation and homogeneity.
