Abstract: Ojective: To explore the acceptance level of disability in poststroke patients and its related factors.Methods:Totally 120 poststroke disabled patients were investigated by the Barthel Index Rating Scale (BI), the Acceptance of Disability Scale (AODS) and self-designed questionnaire. Results: The general score of AODS was 78.49±9.46, which showed medium 1evel of disability acceptance. The main influencing factors for the acceptance level were duration, the level of ADL, age,educational level. Conclusion: For patients with low level of acceptance of disability, medical staff should recognize in the earlier stage and evaluate their cognitive status synthetically. A targeted psychological cognitive intervention, health guidance and early rehabilitation training are necessary to promote the patient body function recovery and improve the level of mental health and quality of life.
