Abstract: Objective: To implement doctor-nurse integration management model in examination refund process in respiratory ward, and to reduce patients' economic losses and confidence crisis to hospital. Methods: The authors analyzed the primary cause of examination refund and set up the flow path for different examination refund. Dynamic monitoring and timely information feedback also were used to check the implementing status. The data of examination refund were compared before and after doctor-nurse integration management. Results: After application of doctor-nurse integration management, the times of examination refund significantly decreased from 53 to 23, no examination refund events occurred before and after discharge settlement (P<0.05). Conclusion: Doctor-nurse integration management model could reduce the times of examination refund, and increase patients' satisfaction to medical staff and hospital.
