Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effect of pain management system based on JCI standard. Methods: A series of pain management methods was set up based on JCI standard, including improvement in pain assessment and record, and standardized training of pain management related knowledge. Totally 412 new nurses received the knowledge training of pain management system. Results: After 6 months pain management, The scores of pain management in 412 nurses increased from (61.85±1.53)to (87.46±2.87) (t=9.52, P<0.01), The satisfaction scores of using the pain care record improved from (3.12±0.51) to (4.82±0.64)(t=5.04, P<0.05). The pass rate of pain care record increased from 61.17% to 97.72%. Conclusion: Pain management system based on JCI standard could effectively improve the staff nurses' pain related knowledge and ensure patients' safety and care quality.
