Abstract: As an integral member of multidisciplinary team for hospice care, nurses play important roles and functions in hospice care practice. This paper describes the importance and demand of hospice care and elaborates the multiple roles of nurses as evaluators, educators, implementers, coordinators and researchers in hospice care practice. It also puts forward suggestions and prospects for the development of hospice care.
