Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Simulation Design Scale (SDS). Methods: The SDS was translated and adapted according to Chinese culture. The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of SDS was tested in 306 nursing students. Results: The Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.948 for the total scale and ranged from 0.798 to 0.832 for the subscales. The test-retest reliability was 0.870 for the total scale and ranged from 0.730 to 0.920 for each subscales. The content validity index was above 0.830. Five factors were extracted by factor analysis that could explain 63.26% of the total variance. Conclusion: The Chinese version of SDS is reliable and valid, can be used and evaluate the simulation design to improve education quality.
