Abstract: Breast cancer is the most common cancer as well as the leading cause of cancer mortality among women worldwide. The diagnosis and treatment of cancer not only bring distress to patients but also have certain influence on family communication. This article reviews the concept, measuring tools and research progress of family communication for breast cancer patients, in order to provide evidence for exploring particular family communication processes and working out better family communication intervention programs in future.
