Abstract: Objective: To evaluate a one-year follow-up of specialized disease management for young patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Methods: A total of 147 young patients who were diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease were included. The incidence of adverse event, life quality and body mass index (BMI) were recorded and analyzed during follow-up. Results: During this one-year follow-up, the patients were visited 1717 times. Of the 147 study patients, 12 were readmission, 25 patients had complications. The life quality and body mass index were improved by the extension of time after discharge. Conclusion: The follow-up of specialized disease management could effectively improve the life quality of young patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
