Abstract: Objective: To explore the influencing factors of need for cognitive closure in patients with separation and conversion disorder. Methods: A total of 217 patients with separation and conversion disorder were investigated by the Need for Cognitive Closure Scale (NCCS). Results: The total score of NCCS was (217.65±31.23). There were significant differences in education level, clinical manifestation, the times of episodes and personality traits between the patients with high NCCS score and those with low NCCS score (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that personality traits,clinical manifestation, the times of episodes and education level were independent influencing factors of NCCS in patients with separation and conversion disorder. Conclusion: The NCCS score was in the high level in patients with separation and conversion disorder, and was influenced by many factors, targeted intervention measures should be used to improve the need for cognitive closure.
