Abstract: Objective: To investigate the current status and the influencing factors on attitude to death in emergency nurses (EN) in Tianjin. Methods: Totally 226 emergency nurses were recruited and investigated with a self designed questionnaire and the Chinese version of Death Attitude Profile-Revised (DAP-R) questionnaire. Results: The total score of DAP-R was 104.95±18.25 and the highest average factor score was in death acceptance and the lowest was in fear of death.All the other factors’ scores were three points above the median score, excluded for the fear of death. There were significant differences on the scores of attitude to death in emergency nurses with different age, years of work experience, number of years as an EN and religious beliefs (P<0.05). Conclusion: The attitude to death in Tianjin emergency nurses was relatively positive and the main influencing factors were years of working experience and number of years being as an EN.
