Abstract: Objective: To develop a competency index for nursing managers of CentralSterile Supply Department.Methods: Based on literature review and semi-structured in-depth interviews, information was solicited from experts by 2 rounds of surveys using Delphi technique. Consensus was achieved for items and weight assignments. Results: After 2-round Delphi survey, 7 categories and 32 indicators were identified.The 7 categories are quality management, clinical services,global awareness, team building, communication and coordination, knowledge and skills, personal qualities. Conclusion:This study identified competency indicators for nursing managers of CentralSterile Supply Department that are suitable for current clinical practice.
