Abstract: Objective: To explore effects of Mini Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Mini-CEX) applied to teaching the course of fundamental nursing for baccalaureate nursing students. Methods: Totally 102 nursing students were randomly divided into control group (n=51) and an observation group (n=51), the control group taught using traditional method, while the observation group was taught using traditional method with Mini-CEX. Results: Test scores of operation skills, the average score of humanistic caring ability and the average score of Classroom Atmosphere Assessment Scale in the experimental class were significantly higher than those in the control class. Conclusion: Mini Clinical Evaluation Exercise applied to teaching the course of fundamental nursing for baccalaureate nursing students, which improve students comprehensive quality.
