Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the application effect of psychological intervention by five-sound music therapy in combination with acupressure in patients with Ulcerative Colitis. Methods: From April 2014 to April 2015, 71 Ulcerative Colitis patients accompanied by anxiety were divided into two groups randomly, with 36 cases into experimental group and 35 cases into control group. The control group used conventional psychological care solely, while the experimental group added five-sound music therapy with acupressure. Then, compare the differences between the groups by using Hamilton anxiety scale and nursing care satisfaction. Results: The total score of Hamilton anxiety rating scale in the test group were superior to the control group. The differences of nursing care satisfaction were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of psychological intervention by five-sound music therapy with acupressure can effectively alleviate the anxiety level in Ulcerative Colitis patients, and improve the rating of nursing satisfaction as well.
