Abstract: Shared governance is a model of nursing practice designed to integrate core values and beliefs that professional practice embraces, as a means of achieving quality care. This paper illustrates the application of shared governance models in United States based on the following perspectives: the definition and background, the importance on magnet hospital along with types and steps of shared governance models. The ultimate purpose is to elicit a positive impact on nursing management in China.
