Abstract: Objective: To investigate clinical pediatric nursing teachers' role stress and its influencing factors. Methods:Totally 107 pediatric nursing teachers in a children's tertiary grade A hospital in Beijing were enrolled by convenience sampling method, and were investigated with clinical nursing teachers' role stress scale. Results: Of all these clinical pediatric nursing teachers, 48.59% experienced at least moderate role stress, among which 14.95% got severe pressure. Age, interest in nursing profession, whether issued by the school syllabus and familiarity with syllabus were the main influencing factors of their role stress. Conclusion: Clinical pediatric nursing teachers have role stress generally. Pediatric nursing teachers and managers should pay attention to increase their interest in nursing profession, enhance instruction on syllabus and support older nursing teachers in order to relieve clinical pediatric nursing teachers' role stress.
