Abstract: Objective: To analyse experiences of taking care of patients with Alzheimer Disease by family members. Methods:The authors searched Pubmed, EBSCO, EMBase, CINAHL, Cochrane, CNKI and other databases. Qualitative researches which reported the caregivers' experiences of taking care of patients with Alzheimer Disease were enrolled, appraised and synthesized.Results: Eight qualitative studies were recruited. Seven themes were identified: confronting nursing care problems, physically exhausted, mental stress, financial burden, sacrifice, adjustment and seeking help, mental motivation and gains. Conclusion: Stress is the most notable experience for caregivers. However, through sacrifice and adjustment, they may have mental motivation and gains.
