Abstract: Objective: To explore the influence of teaching method improvement of specific nursing for tumor patients with radiochemotherapy. Methods: Totally 70 trainees of Grade 2012 in oncology department were selected as observational group, while 67 trainees of Grade 2011 as control group. Both groups accepted one to one teaching based on the clinical pathway teaching method. In the control group, teaching group leader demonstrated the nursing procedure, teachers took charge of the teaching rounds in turn, and nurse students attended the nursing lecture training regularly. In the observational group, a sectional teaching method was used. Four groups of specialty nurses provided lecture, procedure demonstration and teaching effects evaluation consecutively. Nursing students independently hosted teaching round in the later stage of practice. The knowledge and procedure examination results, teaching round quality and students' satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:In all three aspects, the observational group was better than control group. Conclusion: The improved method could effectively improve the teaching quality and satisfaction of oncology nursing.
