Abstract: Objective: To conduct a scoping review of the research on the palliative care needs of Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), in order to provide references for future research. Methods: Focusing on the palliative care for PLWHA, using scoping review as the framework, the relevant literature in Chinese and English databases was systematically searched from January 1, 1981 to May 15, 2024. After screening, the included literature was summarized and analyzed. Results: A total of 23 articles were included, and the results showed that there were significant differences in the level of understanding of palliative care among PLWHA at home and abroad. The palliative care needs of PLWHA involve medical care, financial support, psychological and spiritual care, social interaction, access to knowledge, family and other hospice care needs. The main influencing factors include socio-demographic factors, disease and psychological factors, and social and family environmental factors. Conclusion: The palliative care needs of PLWHA are diverse and complex. Healthcare professionals should pay attention to the dynamic and individualized assessment, and work together to meet the needs of patients and their families in a timely and effective manner, thereby improving their quality of life.
