Abstract: Objective: To explore the construction and effects of the training base for rehabilitation specialty nurses in the training base, so as to provide experience and reference for promoting the standardization of training bases for rehabilitation nursing specialties. Methods: From September 2020 to June 2024, the training work was carried out in the training base of rehabilitation specialist nurses of a tertiary grade A hospital in Shanghai, and the theoretical training system of rehabilitation was used as a guide to train the trainees in the base with a combination of theory and practical exercises. The theoretical and practical scores of the trainees before and after the training were compared. Additionally, the degree of the satisfaction and rehabilitation nursing technique promotion were obtained from the follow-up visits. Results: After the training, totally 90 trainees' mastery of the rehabilitation theory and practical skills were significantly improved (P<0.05), and the trainees' average satisfaction with the training base was high. Besides, the technique promotion rate of the trainees who returned to their original department was 71.33%. Conclusion: Through the training in the practical training base, the level of rehabilitation theory and skills of the trainees is significantly improved, their satisfaction is high, and the rehabilitation nursing technique is promoted.
