Abstract: Objective: To investigate the incidence of preoperative frailty in elderly breast cancer patients and analyze its influencing factors. Methods: Convenient sampling method was used to select 201 elderly breast cancer patients who underwent elective surgery from July to October 2022 in a tertiary grade A hospital in Beijing. The General Information Questionnaire, FRAIL Scale, Nutritional Risk Screening 2002, Barthel Index, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, and Social Support Rate Scale were used to collect data. Multiple ordered logistics regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of preoperative frailty. Results: The incidence of preoperative frailty in elderly breast cancer patients was 15.4%. Malnutrition and non-independence in activities of daily living were risk factors for frailty in elderly preoperative breast cancer patients (P<0.05), while high-level social support and 1 to 4 times of exercise per week were protective factors (P<0.05). Conclusion: Clinical nurses need to pay attention to preoperative frailty assessment in elderly breast cancer patients with malnutrition and physical dysfunction, and take targeted nursing measures to improve perioperative safety.
