Abstract

Abstract: This paper reviews the assessment tools, influencing factors and current status of family caregivers' contribution to self-care. It is recommended to provide informational support for family caregivers to improve their self-efficacy and care preparation, confirm family caregiver needs and priorities to reduce the burden on caregivers and enhance mutuality in the patient-caregiver dyad to promote participation so as to provide a reference for improving the quality of family caregivers' contribution to self-care for patients with chronic illness.
