Abstract: Objective: To explore the application effect of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) in evaluating the clinical nursing competence of Enterostomal Therapist (ET). Methods: We selected ET trainees trained in Nanjing International Ostomy Therapist School from 2019 to 2020, and applied OSCE to evaluate their clinical nursing competence. Results: The average score of the 60 trainees in the assessment was 377.80±24.04, and the pass rate was 100%; the difficulty of the OSCE assessment was 0.70-0.81, and the discrimination degree was 0.21-0.70; 98.3% of the trainees and 95.0% of the examiners believed that the OSCE could fully evaluate ET clinical nursing competence. Conclusion: OSCE assessment can fully evaluate the clinical nursing competence of ET, reflect the deficiencies in the ET training process, and provide references for optimizing the training of ET.
