Abstract: Objective: To establish a subspecialty management system in operation room and apply it to clinical work. Methods: We set up positions for team leaders and specialty nurses, and made clear job descriptions, so as to make the team leaders as the cores of their teams. The team leaders were totally responsible for clinical operation coordination, quality and safety, teaching and training, nursing research and material supply. Results: This system enhanced the professional development of all subspecialties in operating room. Conclusion: This system could improve the quality of operation coordination and the level of professionalization in operating room. Meanwhile, it provides nurses a clear direction for future career development.
