Abstract: Objective: To analyze the mediating and moderating effects of mindfulness between occupational stress and life satisfaction in psychiatric nurses based on structural equation. Methods: A total of 216 psychiatric nurses were investigated with the mindfulness scale, the occupational stress scale of nurses and the life satisfaction scale. Results: The mean score of mindfulness, occupational stress and life satisfaction were 65.26±5.80, 68.57±12.12, and 22.38±4.30 respectively. The mindfulness was negatively correlated with the occupation pressure (r=-0.427, P<0.01), and it was positively correlated with life satisfaction (r=0.554, P<0.01). The occupation stress and life satisfaction were negatively correlated (r=-0.556, P<0.01). The mindfulness plays a partial mediating role between occupation stress and life satisfaction, the mediating effect was -0.15, and it's 25% of the total effects. The mindfulness plays a moderating role between the occupation and life satisfaction (ΔR2=0.013, P<0.05). Conclusions: It's need to pay attention to the relationship of occupational stress and life satisfaction in psychiatric nurses. Affective measures to reduce occupational stress and to improve mindfulness will be benefit to improve life satisfaction in psychiatric nurses.
