Abstract: This article described the positions and causes of perineal injury during delivery and summarized interventions to reduce perineal injuries based on evidence, including perineal massage, antenatal pelvic floor muscles and yoga ball exercise, free position, delayed pushing, epidural anesthesia, limited episiotomy, hands off technique, continuous support for maternal and so on. Based on our national conditions, some key interventional dimensions were proposed, such as improving prenatal health services, promoting free positon during delivery, establishing the labor analgesic medical service system suitable for Chinese conditions, clarifying indicators of episiotomy, and improving the delivery service system.
