Abstract: Objective: To optimize the process of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) in the management of critical maternal treatment. Methods: Effective improvement measures such as simplifying the early warning standard, improving the effectiveness of starting RRT call, standardized communication among medical personnel, strengthening the team's ability, were formulated, improved and evaluated for the defect factors after the team construction and investigation of its current status. Results: After the implementation of the improvement measures, the response time was shortened from (32.26±4.38) min to (21.46±3.87) min. The effective treatment rate increased from 88.5% to 93.2 %, and the ICU occupancy rate decreased from 5.4% to 3.9%. Conclusion: Optimization and practice of rapid response team in the management of critical maternal care is helpful to reduce the response time, optimize the effective treatment rate, and improve the maternal and infants' outcome.
