Abstract: The article aims to provide wound nurses with reference to regulate clinical wound care practice by interpreting the updated expert standard "Expert standard for nursing care of people with chronic wound". The updated expert standard consists of five levels including assessment, planning, implementation, consulting/training and evaluation. It requires the qualified nurse to conduct an accurate assessment for patients with chronic wounds, formulate a feasible wound care plan and ensure that the plan can be carried out correctly. The participation and relevant knowledge training of patients and their family members are emphasized during the formulation and implementation of the chronic wound care plan. Furthermore, the nurse should evaluate the entire program at a certain time and revise the plan as appropriate. And each hierarchy is managed following three aspects of structure, process and result, so as to ensure the best effect of chronic wound care.
