Abstract: Objective: To describe self-reported fatigue in patients of children with cerebral palsy and identify the impact factors. Methods: A total of 130 parents with cerebral palsy children were enrolled from a hospital in Zhengzhou. The participants were investigated with general information questionnaire, fatigue scale, simplified coping style questionnaire. Results: The mean score of parents’ fatigue was (9.32±2.29); the dimension of physical fatigue was (5.73±1.54) and mental fatigue was (3.59±1.36). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that parents’ gender, education background, marital status, children’s time-to-treatment, coping style were impact factors of fatigue in parents of children with cerebral palsy. Conclusion: In parents of children with cerebral palsy, fatigue is common. Interventions targeting parents’ fatigue should be explored.
