Abstract: Objective: To assess the effect of the specific nurse-led clinic. Methods: The key steps of nurse-les clinic running included strengthening the selection and training of nursing specialists in specific nurse-led clinic, formulating standard operation procedures for each technique skill and working process, clarifying the duty and responsibility of nurses in specific nurse-led clinic, improving the quality control system and so on. Results: After the implementation of specific nurse-led clinic, the annual outpatient visits and nursing consultation had increased steadily. Besides, the satisfaction of colleagues, doctors and patients improved (P<0.05). More lectures were given by these specialty nurses, and more papers were published by them. Conclusion: The practice of the specific nurse-led clinic is beneficial to resolve the difficult care problems of patients and promote the nursing professional development.
