Abstract: Objective: To explore the current status of nursing practice in Nurse-Led Clinics in China. Methods: A multi-center cross-sectional survey of 1 181 nurses was conducted using a self-designed questionnaire. Results: Totally 1 181 registered nurses working in Nurse-Led Clinics completed the questionnaire. The average age was 40.23±7.06 yrs. Among them, 84.3% had a bachelor or higher degree in nursing, 32.4% worked in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) Clinics. They spent about 20 minutes with eachpatient.87.6% of them thought their work can improve the accuracy and adherence of treatment, and facilitate patients’ recovery. 69.3% of the nurses suggested that no nursing prescription right was the main issue. Conclusions: Nurse-Led Clinics in China experience a rapid growth. The effectiveness of nurse-led clinics in service delivery and clinical outcomes can be expected. The relevant regulations and policies are expected in order to improve the development of Nurse-Led Clinics in China.
