Abstract: Objective: To investigate the stigma status and its influencing factors among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Methods: A total of 122 HIV/AIDS patients were investigated using convenience sampling method. The Social Impact Scale (SIS) was applied. Results: The total score of SIS was 64.64±15.70. The multiple regression analysis showed that education, sick period and infection method were the influencing factors of stigma, which explained 32.6% of the total variance. Conclusion: People living with HIV/AIDS in China has high level of stigma. Nursing management will provide enhanced care to patients considering different education level, sick period and infection method.
