Abstract: Objective: To assess the effect of mobile APP to improve the ability of self-care in discharged patients with stroke. Methods: A total of 100 patients with stroke were enrolled using convenience sample and assigned to experiment group and control group. Intervention was conducted in experimental by installing the mobile APP. The mRS, ADL, and ESCA were compared between two groups when the patients discharged, 3 months and 6 months after discharge. Results: The ADL and ESCA were significantly higher in experiment group than that of control group. The mRS showed a decreasing trend with the prolongation of time in experimental group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Mobile APPs can complete extended care and improve self-care ability of patients with stroke.
