Abstract: In the mode of modern healthcare services, communication skill has become a core professional skill of nursing staff. Appropriate communication in nursing practice is very important for medical safety and harmonious nurse-patient relationship.This review introduces the connotation and application of situation-background-assessment-recommendation (SBAR) communication mode in patient handover,physician-nurse communication and quality management, aiming at providing reference for better understanding and applying SBAR in clinical practice.
