Abstract: Knowledge Translation (KT) is the method of applying research evidence or evidence based clinical practice guidelines into clinical practice to improve practice, change knowledge users’ behaviour, and improve the quality of patient care. While KT research has made significant progress in western countries, it only started gaining attention in China in recent years. This paper aims to provide a basic description of key concepts and theoretical frameworks in KT research, in order to promote the development of KT research in China.
