Abstract: Nursing undergraduate competency assessment tools could evaluate and monitor quality of higher nursing education, cultivate and identify nursing talents. This paper reviewed the development, quality of tools and usage characteristics of the nursing undergraduate competency assessment tools both here and abroad in recent years to provide useful reference for nursing managers and educators.
