Abstract: Objective: To improve the endoscopic cleaning and sterilization, control hospital infection and ensure medical safety. Methods: Integrative management of endoscopes in Central Sterile Services Department was performed with specific equipements, and specific personnel to clean, sterilize and pack the endoscopes. Quality inspection was conducted through visual observation, maginifier examination and occult blood test before and after the integrative management of endoscopies.Result: There were significant differences in the qualified rates between the endoscopic cleaning with and without the integrative management, and the former was much better than the latter. Conclusion: Integrative management of endoscopes in Central Sterile Services Department could improve the quality of cleaning and thus ensure patient safety.
