Abstract: Cutaneous skin changes are common in patients undergoing Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC),and seriously influence patients' quality of life. In this article, contact dermatitis will be defined, potential risk factors will be identified and diagnostic framework will be explored. Finally, a synopsis of treatment approaches as well as implications for nursing practice and research will be presented.
