Abstract: Objective: To establish a paperless filing system of nursing records based on digital signature, optimize the process of medical records management, ensure the security and effectiveness of medical documents, and improve the working efficiency of nurses. Methods: Paperless filing system of nursing records based on digital signature was applied in our hospital, the consumption of office consumables, the time-consuming and paperless rate of nursing document processing and the satisfaction of nurses with the information system before and after the application of the system were compared. Results: Through the application of the system, the paperless rate of nursing document reached 100.00%, the consumption of paper used for printing nursing records was reduced by 77.78%, the consumption of ink cartridges was reduced by 75.00%, the time for sorting and printing nursing records was reduced by 78.85%, and the satisfaction of nurses with the information system was also improved (P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of the paperless filing system of nursing records based on digital signature has optimized the nursing work process, improved the work efficiency and management level, and improved the satisfaction of nurses with the information system.
