Abstract: Objective: To investigate the status of high-value medical consumables management in ICUs of public hospitals in Zhejiang province to provide reference for the standard management in public hospitals. Methods: Convenient sampling method was used to recruit nurses working in ICUs of 36 public hospitals in Zhejiang from October to November in 2021. Subjects were surveyed with a self-designed questionnaire. Results: The survey results show that the high-value consumables in 50% of hospitals are managed by the head nurse of ICUs. Only 52.8% of hospitals have partly adopted information management, 83.3% of hospitals still use manual inventory system. All of the hospitals surveyed have different degrees of expired and urgent replenishment of high-value consumables. Conclusion: The management of high-value consumables in ICUs surveyed still needs further improvement as well as the information management, which calls for certain measures to make a difference in the future.
