Abstract: Objective: To investigate knowledge, attitude, belief and practice towards postoperative pain among surgical patients, in order to improve health education of postoperative pain to the patients. Methods: Used self-designed questionnaire and convenient sampling method to investigate postoperative pain of surgical patients. Results: The total score of the questionnaire was 29.22±4.58 points that was in the middle. The score of pain knowledge was 8.06±2.55. The score of pain attitude was 16.14±2.77. Analgesic behavior got 5.02±1.15, six points out, at a high level. According to Pearson correlation analysis, knowledge and attitude, attitude and behavior were significantly positive correlation (P<0.01), no correlation was found between knowledge and behavior (P>0.05). Conclusion: Knowledge, attitude, belief and practice health education model should be adopted to improve surgery patients' knowledge, attitude and behavior towards postoperative analgesia.
