Abstract: Objective: To observe the application effect of the venous thromboembolism reporting system based on information technology. Methods: We have established venous thromboembolism report by group interviews in our hospital from June to December 2014, connecting with the hospital information management system by computer, and formatting the effective reporting system and quality control system. In the last, we did effective training of nursing staff in the hospital. The venous thromboembolism reporting system was operated by computer, which was officially launched in our hospital in January, 2015. Results: Venous thromboembolism reporting system could obviously increase the ability in our hospital nursing staff in VTE prevention and the management of VTE (knowledge and correct rate of operation skills had been improved significantly, P<0.05). Conclusion: The system can improve the management level of prevention and treatment of thrombosis, reduce the pain of patients, and provide data and basis for the relevant health management departments to develop related measures and systems.
