Abstract: Objective: To investigate family care status in the elderly diabetic nephropathy patients with hemodialysis, and analyze the influencing factors. Methods: The Family Care Index (FCI) questionnaire was used in this survey. Totally 112 cases were included in this study. Results: Fourty five (40.18%) patients thought their families had good functioning,and 59.82% of the patients reported their family care had moderate or severe disorders. Patients' age, dialysis years and diabetes duration entered into the regression equation. Conclusion: Diabetic nephropathy patients had low FCI scores.Patients' age, dialysis years and diabetes duration were correlated with FCI.
