Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the application and effect of PBL combined with seminar teaching in teaching ENT nursing course. Methods: Two classes of nursing students from sophmore year were randomly selected as experimental group (118 students) and control group (116 students), the experimental group received PBL combined with seminar teaching in classroom, the control group received Lecture-Based Learning (LBL), the application effect of two teaching methods were checked by the test achievement and questionnaire. Results: The results showed significant difference between the two groups (P<0.001). Conclusion: PBL and seminar teaching method stimulate student's interests in learning and activates the classroom atmosphere. Skills including critical thinking, autonomous learning ability, communication,and team work ability improved ultimately.
