Abstract: In this paper, we briefly introduced the basic idea of Herzberg's two-factor theory and the relationships between this theory and nurse's job satisfaction. Then in order to improve nurses' job satisfaction, the authors put forward some application strategies of using hygiene factors skillfully (equitable and reasonable salary distribution, work environment security, harmonious interpersonal relationships), the strategies of using motivators aptly (arouse staffs' potential through enhancing autonomy and sense of accomplishment, combine nurses' needs of progress with recognition and opportunities) and the strategies of using both of the two factors flexibly, synergistically, and comprehensively.
