Abstract: Delirium and ICU-acquired weakness fatigue have high incidence in ICU. Delirium and ICU-acquired fatigue will prolong mechanical ventilation and hospital stay, increase mortality, and cause cognitive disorder and lose of function. Preventing delirium and ICU-acquired fatigue is key for quality of nursing care. Any single measure alone is difficult for preventing delirium and ICU-acquired fatigue due to it's complexities'. The ABCDE sedatives and analgesics bundle is an evidence-based and multidisciplinary strategy to reduce sedative exposure, promote liberation from mechanical ventilation, and improve post-ICU cognitive function and functionality.The purpose of this article is explore the ABCDE bundle for management the sedatives and analgesics.
