Abstract: Objective: To explore the effect of applying Quality Control Circle (QCC) on increasing the KAP level of catheter maintenance in patients discharging with PICC. Methods: The QCC team was set up to increase the KAP level of catheter maintenance in patients discharging with PICC. The current status was investigated and some countermeasures based on “5W1H”principles were formulated and implemented after root cause analysis. Results: After the QCC activity, the right response rate of the patients increased from 68.86% to 93.94%, with the total average score rose from (67.87±6.03) to (93.75±3.20). Conclusion:The QCC activity was an effective method to identify and solve problems in nursing. It can increase the KAP level of catheter maintenance in patients discharging with PICC.
